Two weeks have passed since the death of Linkin Park’s vocalist Chester Bennington, and people are understandably still not over it.
People from every corner of the world, use their own way to pay respect to the iconic rock star; some by letters, some by drawings and others by music.
Chris Martin of Coldplay is the latest one to deliver his respect to the late Linkin Park frontman.
On the opening date of Coldplay’s North American tour, lead singer Martin sang a soulful rendition of Linkin Park’s “Crawling” in the style of his own.
Playing it solo on a piano, Martin commented before singing the song, “I know this is probably going to end up on YouTube so I want to do it right, and I want to do it respectfully.”
“This is to everybody who misses someone you know. This is for our whole community of musicians.”
Mike Shinoda, co-founder and rapper of Linkin Park, posted the video of the performance on his Instagram with the caption, “Thank you Coldplay. It sounded beautiful.”
Martin is not the only one who misses Bennington. After the singer passed away, a slew of musicians from all kinds of musical genres – mostly rock – gave an emotional music tribute to Chester Bennington.
