These past two years have been really great for Japanese comedian Daimaou Kosaka – real name Kazuhito Kosaka – who is better known by his alter ego PikoTaro.
This year, the 44-year-old has another really good news to announce, he has finally gotten married!
On Thursday, 3 August 2017, the comedian had tied the knot with his 29-year-old model girlfriend, Hitomi Yasueda, who he has known through work and has been seeing since 2013.
“I will work even harder at home and at work,” said Kosaka in a statement under another alias, Kosaka Daimao, who is purportedly PikoTaro's producer.
Like Kosaka, Yasueda also has an alter ego called Tami, who is the wife of PikoTaro, and has been described as a 78-year-old woman with teeth like a piranha.
Since his single “PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen)” had gone viral thanks to Justin Bieber, the sensational star has been going places, becoming a popular pop icon comparable to the likes of South Korean superstar, PSY.
PikoTaro even made an appearance in one of PSY’s latest music videos, “I Luv It”.
Not only did his song reach number 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart, it also became the shortest single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, and did we mention that it also entered the Guinness World Records?
Anyway, congratulations to the newlyweds~
