Just in time to welcome the Chinese New Year crowd, Malaysia’s newly-opened Amerin Mall held its grand opening last Saturday, 10 February, in a merry and festive fashion.
Families and youngsters could be seen flocking the mall to check out all the entertainment laid out for the day.
Both also did a walkthrough in the 3-storey mall, which is now 75% occupied according to Mr. John Lim.

“We will soon have more exciting outlets, such as Burger King, coming soon,” said Lim during the press conference held at the party room of the mall’s resident cinema, Amerin Cineplex.
Current tenants include tech shops such as Samsung and Huawei, convenience stores such as 7 Eleven and dining outlets such as Uppercase and more.
In conjunction with one of the biggest festive seasons in Malaysia, the mall is currently adorned with Chinese New Year decorations from top to bottom. Red lanterns and red packets can be seen on every level.

On the opening day, mall patrons were entertained with lion dances and even got to tail the lions as they made their way to every shop to wish everyone a prosperous year ahead.
Mall patrons also got to take part in the various activities held on the day, such as dodgeball competitions, Zumba, trampoline for kids by Jumpstreet, a mini petting zoo, lucky draw and watching calligraphy demonstration and performances that include martial art, dance, and cosplay stages.

For those who were more into watching movies, they could head to Amerin Cineplex on the 2nd floor. The 8-screen cinema, with its 1062 seating capacity, are currently showing movies that would cover a wide range of audience, such as “Kalakalappu 2”, “Molly’s Game”, “Makrifat Cinta”, “Along with the Gods” and more.
With a total gross floor area (GFA) of 410,700 sq. ft., Amerin Mall has a net lettable area of 155,600 sq. ft., allocating 15 lots for F&B, 32 lots for retails, 35 lots for kiosk and 660 retail parking bays. Above the malls are the service apartments which are part of Amerin Mall & Residence, located at Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
