Over the weekend everyone was shocked by the sudden news of iconic EDM DJ, Tim Bergling a.k.a Avicii, who was reported dead at the age of 28.
The Swedish artist was found dead in Muscat, Oman.
As one of the most successful electronic-dance music DJs in history, he’s achieved quite an amount of feats throughout his career such as hitting the number four spot on the Billboard 200 in 2013 with his iconic single, “Wake Me Up”, as well as making regular appearances in the Top 5 of Forbes’ Highest-Paid DJs lists.
But the pressures of fame soon got to him and at the peak of his career, Avicii soon announced his retirement from live performances in 2016, citing health issues and struggles with alcoholism.
Before his passing, Avicii was working on a new album, dubbed as “his best music in years” by president of Geffen Records, Neil Jacobson, in a recent interview with Variety.
Hopefully we will get to hear his unreleased work soon, so his fans can carry on his legacy.
As a tribute to Avicii, here are some of his best songs of all time to remember him by:
“Levels”
“Wake Me Up”
“Silhouettes”
“I Could Be The One”
“Fade Into Darkness”
