Italy’s Alberto Marsico Trio to perform at the 2019 Borneo Jazz Festival

Coming to Malaysia all the way from Italy are three musicians collectively known as Alberto Marsico Trio, who will be performing at the 14th edition of the 2019 Borneo Jazz Festival.

The musical trio will take the main stage on the second day of the festival, with their performance scheduled for 9pm.

Alberto Marsico, born in Turin, Italy, in 1966, is one of the most renowned European Organ players. Along with members Alessandro Minetto on drums and Diego Borotti on tenor sax, the Alberto Marsico Trio have travelled the globe, entertaining worldwide audiences with their music. In Europe, the trio also held seminars in numerous schools and conservatories.

Their 2015 album, titled “4/4”, features mainly original compositions, a unique blend of traditional jazz organ and contemporary jazz, with a touch of blues, soul and funk mixed in.

The 2019 Borneo Jazz Festival is taking place in Miri, Sarawak, from 19 to 21 July.
