While most celebrities only cancelled their shows around mainland China and Hong Kong, Chinese singer Li Ronghao recently revealed that he has decided to postpone all of his shows in Malaysia and Europe indefinitely.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer recently released an official statement on social media, saying that his shows in Kuala Lumpur, Milan, London, and Paris will not go on as scheduled.
He wrote, "I am sorry, fans in Kuala Lumpur, London, Paris, and Milan. Due to the global spread of the epidemic, I decided to avoid increasing the risk of infection from a mass gathering for the sake of everyone's health and safety. It is regrettable that I have to postpone all concerts in Malaysia and Europe."
"I know that a lot of you have booked hotels and flights, but I’m really sorry. Please be assured that the moment that the epidemic passes, I will immediately come over and perform for you. I give you my word," he added.
Li was originally scheduled to perform in Malaysia this 15 February, followed by a concert in London on the 19th, in Paris on the 21st, and Milan soon after.
Aside from Li, singer Rene Liu also announced that she will be postponing her 14 March and 28 March shows in Wuxi and Quanzhou.
