Get ready to heap on more fun to your weekend as “Late Night Laughs” is all set to make its debut this Saturday!

The first show will feature Malaysian veteran stand-up comic Phoon Chi Ho, who will be the first of the 12 monthly acts that will be cracking jokes at PJ Live Arts Theatre throughout the year.

Since the year-long campaign by The Square aims to promote stand-up comedy, it will feature both local as well as international comedians.

“There are so many independent young creatives whose astounding achievements are relatively still unknown amongst the larger community,” said Charles Wong, Executive Director of Tetap Tiara Sdn Bhd, developer of Jaya One, in a press statement.

“From places like Sabah to South India, the bottom-up movement of stand-up becomes a great entertainment channel that has enabled communities to relieve stress. Looking at the current issues surrounding us, we could all use a bit of a laugh to activate happy feelings.”
