"Artists like Taylor Swift often write about particular relationships, but I've never heard a song that drops 5 exes," said Aussie indie sensation Sebastian Rhodes about his new single, "Miss Me".
The song is written by the 25-year-old for his exes who are trying to come back into his life, now that things are looking up for him though "they were nowhere to be to be found during the tough times of extreme depression."
"That's next level. It was incredibly therapeutic to reflect and laugh about how I've been treated in the past. I wish nothing but the best for every single one of them! It's not coming from a place of hate," he added.
For this new track, the hyper-pop singer collaborates with Filipina-Singaporean artist Ysa Yanesa.
Rhodes shared that Ysa, whom he found through an online Zoom show, had the exact sound he was looking for to complete the song.
The duo connected via Instagram and wrote the song using voice memos, before finally recording their vocals, which were then sent off to be mixed and mastered.
Newly released today, "Miss Me" is now available on Spotify and other streaming or digital platforms.
