Physical editions of music festivals are unfortunately not commendable in the ‘new normal’, where everyone has to face the reality of the pandemic-ridden year and continue practicing social distancing. Fortunately, we live in the era of technological advances.

We can still continue the partying, we just have to make do with online versions of it. Most of you might have already experienced it through the virtual music festivals held this year. If you haven’t, this weekend’s your chance!

Party the weekend away at Bangkok Music City, deets as below:
Dates: 28 & 29 November 2020 (Saturday & Sunday)
Time: 5pm onwards
Website: https://bangkokmusiccity.com/

Tickets, starting from 300 THB, can be purchased at https://www.ticketmelon.com/fungjai/bmc2020

The music festival will consist of both local and international talents. Only the performances of the Thailand-based talents will be live-streamed over the weekend from co-working hub Glowfish Sathorn.

Among the regional performers are Thailand’s own Rattanakosin Breakin Crew, Indonesia’s FLEUR!, Malaysia’s AT ADAU, Philippines’ Zak Tabudlo, and Singapore’s Shye. Other acts comprise Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, Australian, American, Russian and French artistes and many more!

Festival co-founder Piyapong ‘Py’ Muenprasertdee, who worked in a sustainability and climate change consultancy before he started BMC, previously told Gig Life Pro, “On a larger scale, I envision BMC to become a vehicle to help support the sustainable development of the creative industries—starting with my field of work, which is music.

“I wanted to find a way to make the music industry more sustainable and turn [being an] indie musician into a stable career choice.”

Hence why Bangkok Music City is more than just a music festival, it is billed as an entertainment and technology summit, and will feature talks and sessions on music copyright, gaming and e-sports, artificial intelligence, music streaming, political communications, and a sprawling array of related subject areas.
