Bunga, who sat down for an interview with Maia Estianty on her YouTube channel MAIA ALELDUL TV, shared as much when asked by her fellow singer, adding, "I think the first few months, the most important thing was to be able to breathe."
"From when I just needed to breathe, to wanting to speak, and to finally see other people, it took me a really long time," she said.

Although Bunga did go on and held a performance and released a new song not long after Ashraf's death, she admitted to feeling ”like a robot” doing it as she tried her best not to show her real emotions while she fulfilled all her obligations.
"But then COVID-19 happened and all performances had to be cancelled, so I thought it was time for me to make peace with myself," she said.
The singer added that she needed therapy to help her cope with the loss, and that she would still cry thinking of Ashraf even today.
"But I am able to function as normal nowadays, unlike in the first few months [following his death]. It took me six months to finally able to [be normal]," she said. When asked if she is prepared to move on and find somebody new, Bunga smiled and shook her head to express her unreadiness.
