Mia Sara admitted that there has been a lack of offers from productions five years after she decided to wear a hijab.
The 16 year-old, who started her career as a child star with movies and shows like "Papa I Love You" and "Adamaya", stated that a lot of people assumed that she has retired from showbiz as she was rarely seen on television for the past few years.
However, this is not the case at all, said Mia, who admitted that she had to say no to several offers after she was asked to take off her hijab as part of the role.
"My career slowed down for three years, and I started working actively again last year. I thought people have started to understand and respect my decision, but unfortunately there are still those who made such request," she said.

Mia stated that what hurt her the most was the fact that the ones who made this suggestion are the same people who have known her and worked with her since she was a child.
Despite how much it has slowed down her career, the actress - who started wearing the hijab in 2016 after returning from her Umra trip - assured that she will not change her mind when it comes to wearing hijab.
"I wasn't forced to wear a hijab. I really wanted to wear it. Your intention has to be right. But at the same time, I will not stop acting. I have been in this business since I was a child, I would never leave it," she added.
Mia stated that she will have to find something new to ensure that people still remember her, and at the same time, hold on to faith in God's plan.
