With a successful season of "WandaVision" on Disney+, the series director Matt Shakman recently admitted that the story of Wanda Maximoff will continue in the upcoming instalment of "Doctor Strange".

Shankman, who spoke about the show, which is wrapping up in another episode, stated that there are more to Wanda's story after the series completed its first season.

"We were trying to tell a complete story in terms of the narrative around Westview, N.J., and we hope that there's some resolution to that story, and that it is satisfying and also surprising for the fans. But Wanda will continue into Doctor Strange [in the Multiverse of Madness], and there's a lot more to her story to be told, so this is only one part of a very complicated and very rich life," he said.

Elizabeth Olsen is the Scarlet Witch who is Wanda Maximoff
Star Elizabeth Olsen also spoke about having a natural progression between the series and the upcoming Marvel movie, sparking speculations that it could be Stephen Strange himself who would be teaching Wanda how to master her powers as Scarlet Witch, or that she could be playing a more villainous role in the upcoming film.

Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "WandaVision" takes place after the events of "Avengers: Endgame" and tells the story of Wanda Maximoff and Vision - and how they try to conceal their true natures by living a suburban life in New Jersey.

Helmed by Sam Raimi, "Doctor Strange 2" ("Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness") is scheduled for release next year.

Looking forward to Doctor Strange 2!!
