One of the reasons why many look forward to the annual San Diego Comic-Con is because of trailers – lots of new and exciting trailers of upcoming movies, games, and of course, TV series!
However, instead of listing out all the trailers released during the convention, we are going to focus more on some of the best trailers of the new and returning TV series!
Get ready to feast your eyes on these 14 trailers that were released at Comic-Con over the weekend.
New TV series
1.The Defenders (Netflix)
Marvel’s upcoming supergroup series, “The Defenders”, is like the TV version of “Avengers” where a team of superheroes – Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist – will work together to save their city.
2.Luke Cage (Netflix)
Luke Cage is already one of the main characters in “Jessica Jones” TV series, and now he is getting his very own show too!
3.Iron Fist (Netflix)
Looks like all the members of “The Defenders” are getting their very own show, and “Iron Fist” played by Finn Jones, is the final hero from the team is also getting the same treatment.
4.The Exorcist (FOX)
The TV adaptation of the 1973 horror film is described as a modern reinvention of the popular horror flick which will give you all new nightmares!
5.Legion (FX)
Dan Stevens stars in this new “X-Men” series as David Haller, the son of Professor Charles Xavier who is diagnosed as schizophrenic. However, his psychological manifestations may be more than just figments of his imagination. Also, he is known to be one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel universe.
6.American Gods (Starz)
Adapted from Neil Gaiman’s beloved book of the same name, the series shows the power struggle between traditional and modern Gods, starring Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Kristin Chenoweth, Pablo Schreiber and more.
7.Star Trek: Discovery (CBS)
The latest TV spinoff from the “Star Trek” universe takes place in the timeline as the original series aboard the USS Discovery.
Returning TV series
1.Walking Dead (AMC)
The seventh season of the zombie drama features the series' new villain, Negan with a blood-soaked baseball bat, a quick look at King Ezekiel and his kingdom and a flashback through the past six seasons of all the characters whose lives were at stake.
2.Sherlock (BBC)
Benedict Cumberbatch returns as the modern-day Sherlock Holmes in the fourth season of “Sherlock” which gives us a glimpse a new villain played by Toby Jones. Also, it looks like the new season going to get a bit darker and more serious!
3.Gotham (FOX)
The third season starts six months after the end of season two which will see the introduction of new villains including The Court of Owls, Mad Hatter, Solomon Grundy and more.
4.Fear the Walking Dead (AMC)
Another zombie drama returning for the second season, the survivors of “Fear the Walking Dead” are wandering south of the border and are trying to figure out a way to survive on land.
5.Arrow (CW)
The first trailer for the fifth season of “Arrow” showcases a new line-up that will fight alongside Oliver Queen and teases the season’s new villain, Prometheus.
6.The Flash (CW)
After unintentionally altering the timeline during the season two finale, Barry Allen wakes up in a completely different world.
7.Legends of Tomorrow (CW)
The trailer for the season two of the series recaps what went down during season one before jumping into new footage from season two where a new character Citizen Steel played by Nick Zano is introduced.
