The performers of the night include Flo Rida, Charlie Puth, Serayah who had her first-ever live television performance, Ne-Yo and Jason Derulo.

The show was filled with laughable as well as saddening moments, some of the best ones include;
•Justin Timberlake receiving the inaugural Decade Award, noting that he has 23 surfboards from Teen Choice Awards, the most of any entertainer in history.

•Jessica Alba and Ne-Yo’s called for an end to gun violence and they were joined on-stage by ten teens whose families have been affected by shootings across the nation lately.

However, fans and family members of Christina Grimmie were outraged and disappointed that the singer, who was also a victim of gun violence, was not mentioned at all during the two-hour long broadcast, even during the powerful tribute to victims of gun violence, which should’ve been the perfect moment to honour Grimmie.

“While we are glad that Christina finally won her much-deserved Teen Choice Award, we are also definitely disappointed that her name was not mentioned at any point during the two-hour broadcast,” a source close to the Grimmie family told Entertainment Tonight.
