Malaysian pair, Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying have made it to the mixed doubles final, securing at least an Olympic silver medal in badminton at Rio 2016.
The two shuttlers won against Xu Chen-Ma Jin of China, 21-12, 21-19 in a semi-final match within 45 minutes.

“We knew we had a chance as the China pair were under as much pressure as we were. We told ourselves that we had to keep focused and minimise our mistakes.”
The Malaysian team will soon face Indonesia’s Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir in Wednesday's final.
“The final will be another challenge as we lost to the Indonesians in the group stage but we will prepare well and give it our best,” said Yiu Ling.
Meanwhile, Malaysian men’s doubles badminton team Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong stunned world number one pair Lee Yong Dae and Yoon Yeon Seong from South Korea to qualify for the men's doubles semi-finals.
