Inspired by the comical characters developed and popularised by Afdlin and his late friend, Boboi became a phenomena among local TV viewers with a TV series adaptation and also a comic book series.
With the success of the comic book series, the 45-year-old decided to develop the digital version of it, featuring stories in still picture or animated versions, with rich audio and high quality visual content.
“There are less production of print comics nowadays because everything has gone digital and a lot of people have started to use smartphones to get entertainment and news updates,” said the comedian to Utusan Online.
“That’s why I decided to create the digital version of my comics so that fans can purchase and read the contents via their smartphones.”
