Four years after his last show in Singapore, multi-Grammy-winning guitar legend Santana will be returning to the Lion City in April for his “Transmogrify Tour”.
Known to be one of the greatest living guitarists of today, the 69-year-old will perform with his eponymous band at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition on 4 April 2017.
Formed by Carlos Santana in the late 60s, Santana came to widespread public attention when their performance of “Soul Sacrifice” at Woodstock in 1969 provided a contrast to the other acts on the bill.
The exposure helped propel their self-titled debut album into a hit.
Selling more than 90 million records worldwide, Santana is one of the world's best-selling groups of all time, having earned nine Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards throughout their career.
Santana has collaborated with plenty of mainsteam artistes as well, some of them include Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Cee-Lo, Shakira, Michelle Branch and Steven Tyler, among others.
With tickets selling from SGD89 onwards, tickets for the Santana showcase will go on sale on 1 February 2017, 10am at apactix.com.
