Rock icon Liam Gallagher, the former frontman of rock band Oasis and Beady Eye is set to play his first solo show in Southeast Asia this August.
The 44-year-old musician who will be releasing his debut album this year is coming to Manila, Philippines on 14 August 2017 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Due to his erratic behaviour, distinctive singing style, and abrasive attitude, Gallagher has been the subject of commentary in the press and remains one of the most recognisable figures in modern British music.
In a 2010 reader poll by Q magazine, he was voted the greatest frontman of all time.
Gallagher’s voice is often compared to John Lennon’s, so he would sarcastically claim to be Lennon re-incarnated, despite being born eight years prior to Lennon's death.
It has been reported that Gallagher will be featuring several of Oasis’s top hits on his setlist including “Bring it on Down”, “D’You Know What I Mean”, “Whatever” and “Don’t Go Away”.
Tickets to Liam Gallagher’s concert in Manila range from PHP1700 to PHP8700, and will go on sale tomorrow, 18 February 2017 on smtickets.com.
