London-based Japanese noise rock band Bo Ningen is coming to Malaysia for the first time.
The band is made of members Taigen Kawabe on vocals and bass, Yuki Tsujii and Kohhei Matsuda which are both on guitars, and Monchan Monna on drums.
Though the members come from Gumma, Tajimi, Nishinomiya, and Tokyo, they met each other in London and formed the band there in 2006.
Their band name literally means “stick man” in Japanese, and according to an interview with Akaitaiyou no Nihon, it is because all of the members are very skinny.
The band has been playing shows and festivals throughout the UK, Europe and Japan, but their most notable one was the 2011 Venice Biennale which was re-created for Yoko Ono's Meltdown Festival at Royal Festival Hall.
Bo Ningen will be performing in Malaysia on 25 March 2017 at the newly renovated The Bee at Publika.
Early bird tickets will be sold at RM88 while pre-sale price will be at RM108.
