Most of us growing up in the 90s would definitely recognise the defender of evil, the beautiful Japanese sailor soldier from the popular animated series “Sailor Moon”!
To celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, one hardcore fan who goes by the name of Regina (
@picturresque on Instagram), has transformed herself into eleven different Sailor Scouts using only make-up and probably the power of moon as well!
Since its release in 1991, “Sailor Moon” has received wide critical acclaim, becoming one of the most popular manga and anime series worldwide.
The series is one of the most influential ones in boosting the popularity of Japanese animation in Western culture and is often cited with popularising the magical girl genre.
The entire series has sold over 35 million copies worldwide, making of it one of the highest selling shoujo series ever.
The original anime series runs from 1991 until 1997, and is rebooted in 2014 under the name “Sailor Moon Crystal” in conjunction with the series 20th anniversary, and now the third season has been announced in late January 2017.
