This year, several music artistes are set to debut their first show in Singapore with the latest entry being French electro pop duo, Yelle.

Founded in 2005 by lead singer and namesake Yelle (Julie Budet) and GrandMarnier (Jean-François Perrier), and a former member Tepr who left in 2014, Yelle came to prominence via an early version of the song “Je veux te voir” on MySpace.

Featuring electro pop and punk music, the song quickly rose to popularity, earning more than 2.5 million listens on MySpace and 11 million views on YouTube.

Thanks to the popularity of the song, Yelle have enjoyed a significant following overseas in non-French-speaking countries as well.

The duo have become one of the rare French acts to have played at Coachella three times, and have also worked with Swedish singer, songwriter Robyn and American pop singer Katy Perry.

The band is currently on tour with their latest sweet and soothing 2016 track “Ici & Maintenant (Here & Now)”, and Singapore will be included in the tour.

Their Singaporean show will take place 12 and 13 May 2017  at the Gallery Theatre @ National Museum Singapore, with tickets priced at SGD88, but if you buy the two-day bundle, it'll only cost SGD80 per ticket.
