Hong Kong Cantopop duo Twins is finally set to make their return to Malaysia after five long years.

The group which comprises of Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) and Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼), better known as Ah Sa and Ah Kiu, had first risen to popularity in the early 2000s.

Popular in both Hong Kong and China, their fanbase is also made up of Asian countries like Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines.

The duo is also often compared to the Taiwanese girl group, S.H.E, as the two groups made their debut around the same time.

Twins’ early music was generally targeted at young teens, but as they grew older, they ventured into different styles of music, and they also shed their schoolgirl image and had gone into a more mature look.

The two dabbled in many movies as well, starring in “The Twins Effect”, “The Twins Effect II”, “Love on the Rocks”, “House of Fury”, “Twins Mission” and more.

Over the years, Twins have released twelve Cantonese albums; four in Mandarin, as well as an array of EPs, compilations and live recordings.

Some of their early hits include and “A Boy in a Girls’” School” (女校男生), “Love Is Bigger than the Sky” (恋爱大过天), “Kite and Wind” (风筝与风), “You Said You Love Me” (你讲你爱我) and more.

Dubbed as “#TWINS #LOL #LIVE IN GENTING”, the concert will be held on 3 June 2017 at Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands.

Tickets range from RM132 to RM432, and can be purchased from ticketcharge.com.my.
