By now, many have already heard of the infamous but surprisingly catchy single recently released by the sensational Malaysian businesswoman Dato Seri Vida, titled “I Am Me”.
Created by KRU Studio’s Edry Abdul Halim, the song has been receiving a sort of mixed reception, and even though most of them are negative, many seem to agree that they just can’t get the song out of their heads.
And that seems to be true, as the song made its debut on the iTunes Malaysia Top 20 chart at number 13, beating other international artistes like Clean Bandit, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran! What sorcery is this!
Though the original song and music video was released back in June during Raya Aidilfitri, it was the recently released lyric video that has gotten way more hits.
Famous for its repetitive lines like “I Am Me” which is commonly misheard as “Ayam Mee” (chicken noodle), the song has now gotten plenty of hilarious parodies from comedians, YouTubers, and even Nando's!
