If you're privy to the Malaysian music scene, then you would've already heard of up-and-coming band "Midnight Fusic" that's set to bring the Funk back to the region, especially via their second single, "Lovesick".
The four-piece alternative indie band from Kuala Lumpur is made up of a bunch of talented 18-year-olds; Raja Arif Aizudin (vocals and rhythm guitars), Adrian Danial (lead guitarist), Firdaus Azmi (bassist) and Muaz Rabbani (drums).
Back in September 2017, the band had released their first single, "Heart of May" which then charted number 1 on the country's top local chart: the Hitz.FM Met 10 Charts.

The song, the band reveals, stems from lead singer Arif's experience of being stuck in a toxic relationship.
"We didn't want to make a song that was sad and depressing, so we decided to make this an upbeat song with funky vibes," says Arif when TheHive.Asia spoke to the band at The Bowery, KL, recently.
The band who cites 1975, Muse, Bad Suns, The Smiths and Malaysian band Hujan as their inspiration, are currently signed to local record label Sony Music Malaysia and have more things planned in the pipeline, including the release of their debut EP in the first quarter of 2018.
Currently, "Heart of May" has over 130k listens and "Lovesick", over 96k listens on music streaming platform, Spotify.
