After three years of operation, OTT (Over-the-Top) video service VIU has finally launched its own VIU Original drama series.
"Salon", "The Bridge" and "Jibril" are directed by renowned directors and stars talents from Malaysia and Singapore.
Kingsley Warner, General Manager for Malaysia, Vuclip, stated that the collaboration proves that OTT doesn't look to compete with the TV industry, there is a synergy instead between the TV viewers and digital viewers in Malaysia.
"This collaboration will give an advantage to VIU in bringing high quality Malay dramas to its viewers, not only in Malaysia but also in other countries," said Warner at the launch of the three original series in Petaling Jaya recently.
