Amid the controversy surrounding several unverified allegations against him, it was revealed that Armie Hammer will no longer star in the upcoming Paramount Plus series, "The Offer".
Hammer was originally attached to play the role of Al Ruddy in the series that revolves on the behind-the-scenes story of the making of "The Godfather". Ruddy was the executive producer of the hit Francis Ford Coppola film back in 1972.
The studio is now in search for a new series lead.
Hammer's representative has yet to respond to the latest development, after the actor previously departed from the romcom, "Shotgun Wedding" co-starring Jennifer Lopez following the controversy.

Hammer previously expressed his happiness over his casting, writing on Instagram, "So beyond excited to finally announce the newest [Paramount Pictures] project about not only one of the best movies ever made, but also a chance to play my friend Al Ruddy in a series about The Godfather! If you thought the movie was good, wait till you see what it took to get made.…”
He then unironically added, “So long 2020, 2021 is looking pretty good..."
Earlier this month, a woman created an account on Instagram to share gruesome details of her alleged sexual interactions with the actor, and even released multiple screenshots of explicit conversations that she alleged was between Hammer and multiple women via Instagram direct messaging which include rape fantasies and cannibalism.
Hammer has issued a statement following his departure from the Jennifer Lopez movie, saying, “I’m not responding to these [expletive] claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for [four] months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.”
