CEO of the bikini-clad airline, VietJet is on the road to become the first ever female billionaire in Vietnam!
According to Next Shark, 45-year-old Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao made her first million at the age of 21 by selling fax machines and latex rubber while studying finance and economics in Moscow.

But her fortune soon began to increase immensely when she came up with the idea to dress up her VietJet flight attendants in sexy bikini attire.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Thao’s fortune is expected to increase to USD1.37 billion when her privately-owned airline goes public within the next three months.
Within just a few years, her company has seized more than 30 percent of the airline market share in Vietnam.

Even though Thao has received criticisms from the public for her gimmicky airline approach, she has been brushing them off and continues to achieve more success with the airline’s very own yearly calendar featuring sexy stewardesses in skimpy outfits.

“You have the right to wear anything you like, either the bikini or the traditional ao dai (traditional Vietnamese clothing),” said the CEO.

“We don’t mind people associating the airline with the bikini image. If that makes people happy, then we are happy.”
